I heart Wednesday.....

I am all hearts for this place....It has everything a person might need...books, fireplace, comfy chairs, relaxing atmosphere...the list goes on....

Finally....

Today my redecorating is finally over....Thank God....the gold garden stool is the last thing that I was waiting for...this is how the wall looks, also the credenza is new...I had to move the couch from one side of the room to the other( as a lot of you know...for the 50th time...) in order to make space for it...before my tv just sat on the floor for three years.....the credenza is also storage space for all Skin Apotheke :) The lamp base is a flea market find , was just an empty bottle, that my boyfriend converted into a lamp shade...i love the transparency of it.....

stepping out of my nail color comfort zone...

recently i've found myself craving to wear a nail color i've shied away from most of my life...

red!

don't get me wrong, i love red polish on nails. they're classic. they're uber-feminine. they can even be edgy.

truth be told, the very first nail color i ever wore was red {thanks, mom}.

but...

i've never been a red-nail-polish-wearing gal. i admit it, the color has always been a bit intimidating to me. that, and i love all shades of neutrals, pinks and purples; those are my go-to, safe colors. for fall/winter seasons, i typically go with "deeper" versions of them.

so...

i'm adding the shade that adorned my nails first into my color rotation-- especially for fall. i've gathered my small stash of red lacquers, and plan to rock them like nobody's business {and yes, the number of reds in my collection will be expanding}. Chanel Lotus Rouge {pictured, above}, a gorgeous berry-red, started me on my not-afraid-to-wear-red-nails-anymore path this past week...

and i just changed my polish to nubar's Competition Red this morning. :)

btw, i tore this Piperlime.com ad for my fall ensemble inspiration journal, then noticed a few days later: the model's nails are red!

New Product

I get a lot of questions regarding blackheads and acne marks, dark spots, pox marks and pigmentation so I decided to launch this new product that tackles them all with the power of finely ground marble powder and pearl powder but I decided to take it a step further and added some 24k gold bhasma and the results are amazing on skin in just one usage. this is the amount that you need every time for face but might have to increase it if desired to be used on neck and hands as well...

you can mix this with any kind of liquid, shown here is with plain milk which is very good for dry skin, oily skin types will really benefit from mixing this with an egg white, when mixed with egg white it might take longer to mix so the first time you might want to try and mix it with normal water so you get the idea of how it should be.

this is what it looks like after its mixed, you just put this on a clean dry face and start scrubbing in gentle circular motions paying special attention to areas where blackheads tend to be, like nose, chin etc or in areas where marks or spots are, scrub for about 3-4 minutes, and leave to dry off as a mask for 10-12 minutes. Rinse off and you are done.
If you do this once a week and also do ubtan 3-4 times a week you will see a huge difference in skin tone, texture, wrinkles, dark spots, blackheads, whiteheads, radiance and tone. Also if you do not have all these issues you can still use the product as once a month maintenance.

Pria Akan Lebih Baik Setelah Menikah

Pria diperkirakan akan cenderung memiliki perilaku yang lebih baik setelah menikah karena perkawinan membantu memperbaiki perilaku mereka.Benarkah begitu ?



Menurut Studi yang dilakukan S. Alexandra Burt dan timnya dari Michigan State University menemukan jika pria dengan kualitas 'baik' akan memilih untuk cepat menikah. Bahkan pria yang di masa lajangnya sedikit 'nakal' juga akhirnya akan menuju pelaminan.



Di antara para responden yang telah menikah menunjukkan jika perilaku buruk mereka, yang biasanya dikaitkan dengan kepribadian anti sosial seperti pembohong, selalu emosi, dan tidak pernah menyesal ketika melakukan kejahatan, secara otomatis sifat tersebut akan menurun setelah mereka mengucapkan janji setia pernikahan.



Dalam penelitiannya, seperti dikutip melalui Straits Times, Burt dan tim membutuhkan waktu sekira 12 tahun dengan melibatkan 289 pasang pria kembar, sejak mereka berusia 17 tahun hingga 29 tahun. Setengah dari pasangan kembar itu merupakan kembar identik.



Pria yang menikah ketika berada dalam masa penelitian ini, sekira 60 persennya, menunjukkan perilaku yang antisosial pada usia 17 dan 20 tahun. Namun, lanjut Burt, pria seperti ini akan memilih untuk menikah dengan wanita pujaan yang ditemuinya pertama kali.Pada usia 29 tahun, pria yang tidak menikah memiliki rata-rata 1,3 perilaku antisosial, sedangkan pria yang menikah hanya sekira 0,8.

hope you've been enjoying your summer! it has been a fabulous one for me, i have to say...



with all the fun and busyness going on, i chose to take some time away, as you may have noticed. :)



i realize this is something i've done before-- reevaluating my purpose for blogging and allowing myself time away from it-- and i will be honest: it could quite possibly happen again.



the truth is, sitting down everyday to post isn't the easiest thing for me to do. it was my personal choice to step away and just allow myself to not worry about it. i love sharing beauty reviews, news and goodies with you, please don't get me wrong-- but priorities have to be established, you know?





that said, i am still here! in my hiatus, i've stayed connected, working with fabulous pr darlings, and plan to continue to share my thoughts on this beautiful life with you. i can't say how happy i am to see that you continue to visit here, to check in-- it makes me so happy to see!-- but i encourage you to subscribe via email or feed reader, so when i do post, you'll get it sent right to your inbox.

Beberapa Alasan Pria Takut Menikah

Kaum pria mengaku sangat mencintai pasangannya dan ingin menghabiskan seluruh hidup dengannya. Namun jika berbicara soal pernikahan mereka beralasan belum siap. Alhasil, banyak kaum wanita yang mengeluh.



Berikut beberapa alasan pria takut menikah:



1. Mereka takut menjadi terikat pada apa pun. Pria mencintai kebebasan mereka yang telah mereka nikmati sejak kecil. Seorang wanita di dalam kehidupan merekalah yang sudah menciptakan batas. Jika berselingkuh adalah komitmen, pernikahan adalah mengikat dan memiliki aturan. Perkawinan adalah komitmen seumur hidup dan laki-laki biasanya tidak ingin merencanakan masa depan mereka. Ini yang pria pikirkan.



2.Alasan kedua mengapa pria tidak ingin menikah adalah karena mereka takut bertanggung jawab. Perkawinan dalam masyarakat manapun adalah tanggung jawab yang lebih besar untuk pria. Keluarga dan istrinya bergantung padanya. Bahkan jika istrinya bekerja, ia masih memiliki tanggung jawab yang lebih besar terhadap keluarga. Pria takut gagal dalam perkawinan.



3. Wanita bisa kompromi dalam ruang pribadi mereka, tapi pria tidak akan pernah. Mereka mencintai ruang mereka, yang mungkin diterobos setelah menikah. Jadi, untuk menjaga ruang, pria tidak ingin menikah.



4.Pria selalu bingung antara karir dan keluarga. Menurut mereka pernikahan membuatnya lebih sulit untuk menyeimbangkan karir dengan kehidupan pribadi. Khususnya ketika laki-laki dalam pekerjaan dengan profil tinggi, mereka tidak mau kompromi dengan keberhasilan mereka dan mengalihkan perhatian mereka untuk komitmen perkawinan.



Perdebatan antara pria dan wanita selalu tentang siapa yang lebih baik, tetapi pada akhirnya mereka harus menghabiskan hidup bersama. Pria dan wanita akhirnya jatuh cinta dengan perbedaan mereka tetapi apakah perbedaan dan tuntutan bisa menimbulkan masalah di masa depan Ini adalah pertanyaan besar yang membuat seorang pria tidak ingin menikah.
