i'm thankful for today-- another beautiful day. no, not perfect in the least, but, along with the normal things {mommy/wife stuff} and fabulous beauty-related goodness {always}, i relished the time to savor the confetti that included coffee and tea sipping, books, magazines and music...

these days this is my favorite coffee to drink with my breakfast...


stopped by the market for some new-to-me bagged tea flavors...


initially went to barnes and noble for the october issue of Harper's Bazaar UK and Jones mags. only ended up with Jones, but i did find 2 books {plus 1} that i've wanted to read on the bargain shelf {hello, huge discount!}-- love that!



last month, i signed up for a tea exchange, so today paid a visit to my favorite local tea and coffee brewery; i know the owners and they are always extremely helpful when i visit {you can sip a sample of anything before you buy}. needless to say, they had some fabulous selections of new and rare loose leaf blends that i bought for both for myself and my recipient {i'll be sharing more about the exchange after i receive my package}...

the day was also complimented with good music. i've been on an indie and jazz kick for the last couple of days, so, via Pandora radio, my ears experienced selections from Kate Nash, Foster the People, The Head and the Heart, The Weepies, Deb Talan, Zee Avi, Adele, Landon Pigg and She & Him, just to name a few...

Life swapping ....

Sometimes when I get super busy my favorite thing to do is imagine living someone else's life, Abigail Ahern's place in London makes me want to live her life so bad...how gorgeous.

nail color of the week: Wallis by butter London

Wallis by butter London is a fierce shade of metallic-mustard-olive-green goodness...i wasn't sure if i'd like it, but had to give it a try...

i've been wearing this for about two days now, and have to say i do love that it's different; that and the fact that i decided to get it while taking advantage of the bogo free sale at ulta {it just happened last week-- did you get any polishes from the sale??}, makes it even better.

up until my purchase, i had little experience, ok, absolutely no experience with the brand. of course, i had heard such good things about it, and it didn't disappoint! the formula is easy to apply and this shade turned out fabulous in 2 coats. i suppose if i wanted to i could have done with just one, but i never do that anyway, so i won't start now.

so...what do you think of this shade?

monday musings...

the last week was pleasant, full of random goodness. while everyday life continued, i still managed to discover some new blogs, finish a few books, send a new friend a package filled with some fabulous goodies, shop for new nail polishes and was thrilled to test out some new hair and beauty products {all to be shared soon!}.

officially, summer is over, and i gladly welcome the fall season. cool, crisp air fills the mornings, leaves are changing color, and i'm looking forward to all the splendid and fun events that will occur in the coming months; these are only a few reasons why i love this time of year.


i've always been fond of layering, wearing hats and sipping hot coffee or tea next to a glowing fire {candles are always fabulous, too-- loving my new Autumn one from Bath & Body Works, pictured above}. i also love to begin reflecting on the past year while also hoping for the one forthcoming. it's strange how quickly each goes by the older i get, but i truly do try to enjoy each moment, finding and appreciating the smallest pleasures of each day-- i hope you do, too!

Cara Membuka Situs Yang Diblokir

Walaupun sekarang pemerintah dengan penyedia ISP - ISP besar di Indonesia sudah mulai melakukan Pemblokiran terhadap situs2 berbau pornografi termasuk Youtube , RapidShare, Multiply, MySpace dll tetapi masih ada celah buat kita untuk menembusnya.

Saya publish artikel ini hanya Sekedar informasi saja bagi anda yang suka main ke situs2 yang diblokir karena menurut saya adalah Hak manusia memilih mana yang baik/mana yang buruk untuk dirinya,selama tidak merugikan hak orang lain jadi sah2 saja menurut saya.

Berikut ini Caranya

1. Menggunakan alamat IP

Apabila aplikasi yang digunakan hanya memblokir nama domain saja (misal: www.google.com), ini dapat disiasati dengan menggunakan alamat IP situs tersebut misalnya untuk google : http://209.85.171.99/).
Untuk mengetahui alamat IP sebuah situs, kita dapat mencoba melakukan ping terhadap situs tersebut. Caranya masuk ke command prompt (Start > Run > ketik: cmd > Enter) dan ketik ping nama_situs.com lalu tekan enter. Maka akan muncul alamat IP situs tersebut.

2. Menggunakan Proxy di Browser

Ada banyak sekali proxy gratis yang dapat Anda temukan di internet, beberapa situs yang bisa Anda pakai secara gratis:

http://www.samair.ru
http://www.freshproxylist.net
http://www.freshproxylist.com
http://www.proxynext.com
Setelah Anda memilih salah satu proxy dari situs-situs di atas, konfigurasi browser Anda untuk menggunakan proxy tersebut.

3. Menggunakan Layanan Short URL

Cara lain yang bisa dilakukan adalah dengan memanfaatkan layanan url shortening seperti :

4. Menggunakan Arsip Online dan Cache

Beberapa mesin pencari seperti Google dan Yahoo menyimpan tembolok berbagai situs populer yang tetap bisa melihat isi dari situs walaupun yang aslinya telah diblok atau dihapus sekalipun.
Klik link bertuliskan ‘cached’ maka kita akan dibawa ke halaman tembolok dari mesin pencari (apabila disimpan).

5. Menggunakan Layanan Anonymizer

Menggunakan layanan anonymizer, alamat IP dan informasi Anda yang lain tidak akan diketahui oleh situs yang Anda kunjungi.
Kebanyakan layanan seperti ini adalah berbayar, namun ada beberapa yang masih tersedia gratis seperti :

6. Menggunakan Penerjemah Online / Translator Online

Layanan penerjemah online yang terkenal seperti

Cukup masukkan URL situs yang diblok dan pilih opsi terjemahan ke dalam bahasa yang Anda inginkan (atau bahasa yang sama).

7. Berlangganan RSS Feed

Trik yang ini mungkin tidak berlaku untuk berbagai situs, tetapi jika situs yang ingin Anda kunjungi menyediakan fitur sindikasi RSS, (biasanya situs berita dan blog), Anda dapat mencoba untuk berlangganan dan membacanya dengan sebuah RSS/Feed Reader.
Layanan RSS/ Feed Reader yang dapat Anda gunakan bisa berupa aplikasi desktop (Feed Demon, Feed Reader dan Sharp Reader), web browser Firefox, Opera, IE dan lain-lain, atau dengan tambahan ekstensi (InfoRSS, Sage, dan NewsFox), dan yang terakhir menggunakan aplikasi online (Google Reader dan Feed Show).

8. Berlangganan Melalui Email

Kita dapat berlangganan situs-situs favorit kita melalui email. Anda juga dapat berlangganan banyak situs sekaligus yang diatur dalam folder-folder sehingga tertata rapi. Setiap kali halaman situs berubah, Web2Mail akan secara otomatis mengirimkan halaman baru ke alamat email Anda. Anda juga dapat mengatur apa saja dan kapan dikirimkan.
Ada juga layanan RSSFWD yang akan secara otomatis mengubah RSS menjadi email yang dikirimkan ke akun email Anda.

9. Menggunakan Google Mobile Search

Anda juga dapat mencoba menggunakan Google mobile search, tetapi biasanya hasil yang didapat tidak maksimal.

it seems my days are going by so much faster these days. i wake up, and before i know it, the day is coming to an end and it's time to sleep! it's kind of nutty when i think about it, but i definitely many things to be thankful for-- my family, my friends, my health and the fact that you are here reading this! :)

There's Cake in My Future by Kim Gruenenfelder....a fun chick-lit read {be warned, it is a bit rated-r, due to all the f-bombs dropped}, but the story is funny and engaging. i'm about 70% through it and can't wait to see how the story of three friends, their lives and hope for the future will end up!
