nail color of the week: Color Club 'Uptown Girl'

there's nothing like giving myself a manicure. i realize this may not be the case for everyone, but it's become one of my favorite ways to center my thoughts and relax. i love the way i can pamper myself and give my hands polish {no pun intended}.

for this week's manicure, i chose a shade that's even relaxing to look at: Color Club Uptown Girl, from the Rebel Debutante collection.

this gorgeous shade of smoky lavender, though part of a collection from last year, is still a fabulous color for the current spring season.

and to keep with the purple theme, my daughter changed her polish to her current fave purple, OPI A Grape Fit!...

yep, she did her nails herself. :)

Color Club's Love 'Em, Leave 'Em at NY Fashion Week

though it was a color from their Wild At Heart collection last fall, Color Club's Love' Em, Leave Em showed up at Rolando Santana's ny fashion week's spring runway show. i have to say, this amazing holographic, brown-gold shade was the perfect compliment to the ensembles in the show.

nail color of the week: Color Club She's So Glam

pink is my favorite color, as many of you know, and this pink, Color Club She's So Glam, is no exception. i did find the application of this opaque creme to be a bit difficult, as the formula didn't apply as easily as i typically like (on the thick side and a bit streaky, if you know what i mean), but i managed to do an ok application with just two coats.

Color Club Wild at Heart Collection

Color Club's fall '09 collection, Wild at Heart* features a wide range of shades in only 6 bottles. i have nothing but good things to say about this collection, so let's take a look, shall we?



Love 'Em, Leave 'Em is a wow, wow, wow holographic brown-gold shimmer. this picture doesn't do it any justice...




Rule Breaker is a gorgeous teal shimmer. love!




On the Wild Side is a great color, but because of the streaky finish, it's not one i would wear often (ps- sorry for the blurry pic!)




With Abandon is a fierce gold-black shimmer that i love for this time of year.




Wild and Willing is a very unusual pink gold shimmer. it looks quite bronzy in the pic, but it actually has tones of green in it in person.




Wild at Heart is a beyond amazing purple holographic. it almost looks unreal-- definitely my fave out of the bunch. do i need to explain why?
