Revlon ColorStay Sophisticated Grays Eye Collection

happy monday, beauties! hope you enjoyed a fabulous holiday weekend. did you get any yummy makeup and beauty goodies?

i received a few gems, but the one shadow palette i have been using a lot these days comes by way of a trip to Target i took a few weeks ago.



this Revlon ColorStay Eyeshadow Quad in Sterling Rose came with a ColorStay Eyeliner and was packaged as the Sophisticated Grays Collection. i was drawn to the classic shades because they're perfect for this season and beyond. three of the shades are pretty light, and all of the shades have a sheen to them, but i love mixing and matching the colors-- day to night looks are effortless!



i'm a huge fan of Revlon ColorStay eyeshadows and these didn't disappoint. the pigments of each shadow are good with fab blendability and wear. each color is classic and will easily transition into spring. the liner is mechanical (perfect for waterline application), and stays put all day!

i know i'm not the only one who wants the new Urban Decay Naked Palette. why? because it keeps selling out within seconds of becoming available again!

i'm totally kicking myself: i had my chance to order it via sephora.com** a little over a week ago (my local store sold out and won't be getting any replacements-- see the photo below, LOL!), but missed it-- now i have to wait again...

the summer is winding down for me here in sunny so cal. no, the temps aren't dropping (though i admit, this has been the coolest summer i've experienced living in the city that i do for the last almost 12 years), but my kids do start school next week (the official end of summer for them). another sign that summer is coming to an end-- new fall beauty goodies!

Travel-Friendly Beauty: Lauren Hutton Natural Face Disc

when i went to nyc, i took along a fabulous product that arrived just in time for my trip. the Lauren Hutton Face Disc has been around for some time, but it was her new Naturals Face Disc that i was given the opportunity to try.



included in this Naturals Face Disc:

*4 spot concealers,
*pooch and nose shadow
*wet and dry eyeliner
*eyebrow shadow
*contour shadow
*blush/lip tint
*lip balm


the "quick" instructions

each product is color-coded in the Disc and comes with easy-to-follow instructions so you know what to use where. because this is a "natural" product, the formulas contain high concentrations of plant-based ingredients like jojoba and olive fruit oil. they also contain grape seed oil, tea tree oil, vitamins A, E and C, avocado oil and bamboo.

i am really enjoying this Face Disc. the results are natural looking and the packaging isn't bulky at all. i love that everything i need is in one place. i would like to see more color palettes created. there are currently four discs: Pink, Olive, Yellow and Brown. i use the Brown, but there are some spot concealer colors that are too dark for me...
